Observations – For
Observations – Against
Royal Mail shares are ouperforming the UK 100 index as we head off a volatile week with traders evidently unwilling to let the price fall beneath the 200-day moving average. In fact, RMG shares have outperformed their parent index for the past 3 months.
Technicals supportive of a move back up to 500p at least, with falling highs 520p and above a realistic target.
Broker updates for the last 12 months are mixed, while we note that 5 of 13 targets surveyed are above the average target price, which is in turn 25p above the current share price.
Latest Broker 12-Month Consensus: 42% Buy, 32% Hold, 26% Sell (breakdown available on request)
