The UK 100 called to open -38 points at 7,399. The UK 100 looks set to open lower this morning following yesterday’s news that Saudi Arabia had extended production cuts until the end of the year pushing oil prices higher. On Wall Street the Dow Jones lost 195.74 points, or 0.56%, to finish at 34,641.97. The S&P dropped 0.42% to close at 4,496.83. While the Nasdaq edged down 0.08% to settle at 14,020.95.
Ashmore report a FY revenue of £195.4m and EBITDA of £80.6m.
Barratt Developments have forecast difficult trading conditions over the coming months after they posted a fall in annual profit as high mortgage rates and a cost-of-living squeeze has pummelled demand. They reported a pretax profit of £884.3m for the year ended June 30th, compared with analyst consensus of £882m. They have reduced their FY23 dividend to 33.7p down from 36.9p YoY.
Bakkavor expects their FY23 operating profit to be £89.4m, in line with prior year.
Darktrace report a FY net income of $58.958m.
Halfords reports that their trading is in line with expectations as they expect their FY pretax profit to be between £48-58m.
WH Smith report that their annual revenue jumped 28% YoY, driven by a busy summer travel season. They expect their results for their FY ended Aug 31st to be in line with estimates.
