The UK 100 called to open -50 points at 7,673. The UK 100 looks set to give up all of yesterdays gains and then some this morning, as investors await the US jobs report for further clues as to the path of interest rates. In the US on Thursday, Wall Street ended mostly lower, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average marginally higher, the S&P 500 down 0.3% and the Nasdaq Composite down 0.6%.
Clarkson expects their 2023 results to be above market expectations following a strong Q4.
Ithaca Energy CEO Alan Bruce is to step down and CFO Iain Lewis will be appointed interim CEO immediately.
