Markets Overview:

The UK 100 called to open -20 points at 7,915. The UK 100 looks set to open lower this morning as Asian markets followed the major US indices lower overnight, as investors worried that the Fed may delay cutting interest rates, however two Fed officials yesterday suggested that the previously expected three rate cuts this year would be “reasonable”, focus will turn to a raft of Fed speakers today, most notably Fed Chair Jerome Powell and to US services PMI data due out later today.  On Wall Street, The S&P, Nasdaq, and Dow Jones all experienced declines. The S&P dropped by 0.72 per cent to close at 5,206.04 points, while the Nasdaq fell by 0.95 per cent to 16,240.45. Similarly, the Dow Jones saw a 1.0 per cent drop, settling at 39,171.55.
