The UK 100 called to open +44 points at 7,666. The UK 100 looks set to open higher this morning, this comes after Wall Street rallied and Meta provided some fireworks after the US close. On Wall Street yesterday the 30-stock Dow added 369.54 points, or 0.97% to close at 38,519.84. It was a fresh record close for the blue-chip index, which also wiped its losses from a day earlier. The S&P added 1.25% to close at 4,906.19. The Nasdaq gained 1.3% to finish the session at 15,361.64. After the closing bell in New York, Meta leapt 15.6% after unveiling a $50 billion share buyback, its first ever dividend and better-than-expected results. In focus today will be US Non-Farm Payrolls.

Wizz Air update that they carried 4.7m passengers in January 2024, +14.2 YoY, at a load factor of 82%. They have reinstated flights between Jordan and Abu Dhabi, starting from the 4th of February.
