Markets Overview:

The UK 100 called to open +23 points at 7,624.   The UK 100 is expected to open higher this morning, The UK economy grew 0.2% in the second quarter compared to the prior one, according to revised ONS data released this morning.  Yesterday on Wall Street saw The Dow Jones climb 116.07 points, or 0.35% to 33,666.34. The S&P added 0.59% to 4,299.70 — just shy of a potential key level of 4,300. The Nasdaq jumped about 0.83% to 13,201.28.

Aston Martin Lagonda today announced that Yew Tree Consortium have agreed to purchase an additional 26 million ordinary shares in the Company.  As a result of this purchase, the Yew Tree Consortium will hold a total of 26.23% of the Company’s issued ordinary share capital.

 

 

Severn Trent today announces an equity issue to raise gross proceeds of approximately £1 billion, The Equity Issue comprises the issue of new ordinary shares of 97 pence each.
