IAG reported a record Q3 profit as airliners have benefited from strong summer travel. They reported an operating profit of £1.7bn euros, citing an overall recovery in its balance sheet. They state that “2023 is to be a year of strong recovery”.
NatWest reported a Q3 profit in line with forecasts, pinched by tighter competition for savers’ cash as the lender deals with the reputational fallout from a damaging “debanking” row with Nigel Farage. They reported a Q3 pretax profit of £1.3bn, up from £1.1bn the prior year and broadly in line with the £1.4bn average of analyst forecasts compiled by the bank.
XP Power says their Q3 operating profit was slightly ahead of its prior expectations, but says their FY expectations are unchanged.
