Markets Overview:

The UK 100 called to open -9 points at 7,479.  The UK 100 is expected to open lower when trading for the week gets underway on Monday following losses in Asia, the Nikkei fell 0.5%, while the Shanghai Composite was 0.3% lower in late trade, and the Hang Seng was also 0.3% lower.  On Friday it was a mixed return for Wall Street after the thanksgiving holiday, The Dow rose 117.12 points, or 0.33%, to 35,390.15. Meanwhile, the S&P ticked higher by 0.06% to end at 4,559.34. However the Nasdaq fell 0.11%, closing at 14,250.85.

GSK hails results from phase 3 trial for Blenrep in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma.

 

 

Lloyds are putting around 2,500 jobs at risk as part of a shake-up, amid a renewed push by lenders to slash costs.

 

 

Rightmove have lifted their forecast for annual average revenue per advertiser (ARPA), encouraged by increased usage of its products by new homes developers. They now expect their ARPA to be in the £112-116m range, ahead of its previous forecast of £103-105m.
