Markets Overview:

The UK 100 called to open -23 points at 7,600.  The UK 100 looks set to open slightly this morning, despite a strong close to the US trading session yesterday which saw Wall Street break a four day losing streak. Focus will be on the reported US Government shut down as Moody’s warned that if it were to go ahead, it would threaten the country’s triple A credit rating.  In Asia, stocks fell further with jitters over the healthy of the Chinese property sector still on investor’s minds after Evergrande announced on Monday that it was unable to issue new debt as its subsidiary was “being investigated”.
