Company News & Broker Comments:

Company News:

Fresnillo report that their Q3 silver output fell 5.1% QoQ to 14.1m oz, gold output also fell 13% QoQ to 132,600 oz. They are continuing to address the impact of inflation and peso revaluation and have left their 2023 output guidance unchanged.

GSK says phase 3 Arexvy results meet primary endpoints in 50-59 year olds.

Ibstock report that their underlying profit expectations for 2023 are unchanged despite subdued demand. They are actively managing capacity and costs to align with market demand as Q3 markets remained “robust” due to cost cuts and stable pricing.

Lloyds reported a Q3 profit broadly in line with forecasts as the revenue boost from higher interest rates was counterbalanced by competitive pressure on margins and flagging lending demand. They reported a Q3 pretax profit of £1.9bn, up from £576m last year and marginally above the £1.8bn average of analyst forecasts compiled by the bank.

Reckitt Benckiser missed their Q3 like-for-like sales expectations despite raising prices to help offset rising raw material costs. Q3 like-for-like sales rose 3.4%, behind the 3.7% growth analysts had expected in a company-supplied poll.
