The UK 100 called to open +45 points at 8,147. The UK 100 looks set to open higher ahead of today’s shortened trading session.
Stocks rose Stateside on Monday to start a holiday-shortened trading week as the continued strength in technology names helped the broader market. The S&P gained 0.73% to 5,974.07. The tech-heavy Nasdaq rose 0.98% to 19,764.89, as Tesla and Meta Platforms added more than 2% and Nvidia climbed more than 3%. The Dow Jones erased earlier losses and ended the day 66.69 points higher, or 0.16%, to 42,906.95.
Vistry warned on its fiscal 2024 profit for the third time on Tuesday, citing delays to expected year-end transactions and completions. In its third profit warning since October, Vistry said it now expects to record profit before tax for the year ending Dec. 31 of 240 million pounds ($300.77 million), down from £300 million expected earlier.
