The UK 100 called to open flat at 8,358. The UK 100 looks set to open broadly flat this morning after interest rate cuts in China overnight, this comes after Fridays GDP read which was the lowest for China in a year and a half.
Friday saw fresh record highs for the Dow and the S&P on Wall Street. The S&P advanced 0.40% to close at 5,864.67. The Dow Jones gained 36.86 points, or 0.09%, to end at 43,275.91. The Nasdaq, led by a postearnings jump in Netflix, ended the day up 0.63% at 18,489.55.
AstraZeneca and Ionis’ Wainzua has been recommended for approval by the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) in the European Union (EU) forthe treatment of hereditary transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis in adult patients with stage 1 or stage 2 polyneuropathy, commonly referred to as hATTR-PN or ATTRv-PN.
FirstGroup has acquired Anderson Travel, a highly experienced coach operator providing contracted school, private hire, mini coach and tour services in and around London.
Petrofac this morning has said that it has extended its existing forbearance agreement in respect of the non-payment of the interest coupon on its senior secured notes from 18 October to 15 November 2024. The forbearance agreement is entered into by an ad hoc group of noteholders representing approximately 47% of the outstanding senior secured notes and certain other acceding noteholders.
