The UK 100 called to open +15 points at 7,588. The UK 100 looks set to start the week on the front foot, this comes despite a mixed session overnight in Asia. Stocks rose in the US on Friday after Decembers revised inflation figure came in lower than first reported, and the S&P 500 closed above the key 5,000 level as strong earnings and economic news chugged on. The S&P rose 0.57% to end at 5,026.61, while the Nasdaq rallied 1.25% to close at 15,990.66. The Dow Jones slipped 54.64 points, or 0.14%, to settle at 38,671.69.
