Buying into market uncertainty

Financial markets detest uncertainty… well, unless that uncertainty causes the value of sterling to fall, boosting the earnings of some 70% of UK 100 constituents trading in dollars, and results in an index gain nearing record levels – welcome to the general election fallout!

uncertainty

Does this mean the UK Index could continue to trickle north until the situation becomes clearer, certainty returns, sterling appreciates, earnings are impacted and the market falls? Quite possibly.

What excites me about the current situation is:

  1. The obvious appetite for buying, given the right circumstances, and
  2. The very real risk of a sharp pull back from these dizzy heights if the situation changes.

In short, if the UK Index is 500pts higher or lower in a few weeks’ time I really wouldn’t be surprised. What’s more, the move should be well signposted providing you’re quick to pick up on the news.

This brings me to two reasons to consider trading with Accendo Markets. Firstly, we work with you, deliver the important news to clients as soon as it breaks in order to provide you with a chance to react quickly, efficiently and intelligently. Secondly, and perhaps even more importantly in these exciting times, is that our trading account allows you to profit not just from rising but in falling markets too.

Many of you have accounts that will see you make money if your shares appreciate, but the ability to profit from falling markets is critical when trading in current market conditions; this facility, I fear, many of you are without currently.

We offer these accounts with access to our award-winning research service, with publications that have seen Accendo’s research offering voted as the best from a CFD provider by ADFVN in 2017. To see first hand why we’ve earned this privilege, why not try it our yourself by signing up to have it directly to you inbox. With no obligations after your trial expires, now is the perfect time to see just how much of a difference we can make to your trading strategy.
