Markets Overview:

The UK 100 called to open -33 points at 7,274. UK 100 is set to open lower on Friday as global equities continue to suffer amid concerns over interest rates and China’s economy as the UK 100 index is down 4% over the last 5 days. UK retail sales today came in worse than expected at -1.2% m/m when -0.6% was expected. Wall Street ended in the red with the Dow closing -0.8%, S&P -0.8% and Nasdaq -1.2%. In Asia on Friday Tokyo closed -0.7%, Shanghai -0.5% and Hong Kong -1.7%.
