Persimmon (PSN.L) – Volume of new house sales 16% ahead of 2012. H2 sales volumes are 25% ahead of the prior year. Average selling price for was £180,900. Full year revenues of £2.1bn up 21%. To deliver strong underlying pre tax profit growth. Closing Price 1294.00p (Reuters)

Domino’s Pizza (DOM.L) – Met profit forecasts after a marketing push and growing online demand helped Q3 sales surge ahead of expectations. Sales at its 670 UK stores open over a year rose 10.9%, well ahead of analyst forecasts which ranged from 1 to 4%. Closing Price 503.00p (Reuters)

Galliford Try (GFRD.L) – Anticipating a record half year profit, Net debt of £90m (2012: £58m) rose as planned. Closing Price 1204.00p (Reuters)

Mothercare (MTC.L) – warned that annual profit would be below current market forecasts, hit by Christmas discounting in Britain, plus weak economic conditions and currency deflation overseas. Closing Price 420.00p (Reuters)

Sainsbury (SBRY.L) – Posted a small rise in underlying sales in its Christmas quarter, though its rate of growth slowed. Sales at stores open over a year rose 0.2%, excluding fuel, in Q3. Ahead of analysts’ forecasts which ranged from flat to -1% and represented a 36th consecutive quarter of underlying sales growth. Closing Price 368.90p. (Reuters)

Ferrexpo (FXPO.L) – Iron ore pellet output rose to a record high for the company in 2013 even as production fell slightly in the last quarter of the year. Closing Price 179.90p (Reuters)

Lloyds Banking Group (LLOY.L) – A mass sell-off of the government’s 33% stake in Lloyds Banking Group has moved a step closer after the management of the bailed out bank was asked by UK Financial Investments, which looks after the taxpayer’s shares, to draw up the detailed information needed for a sale. Closing price 82.51p. (Guardian newspaper and Sky News reported).
