Vedanta Resources (VED) – Billionaire Anil Agarwal, who controls Vedanta, said he regrets investing 500bn rupees ($8bn) on an aluminium complex in India. “I could either invest in Vedanta Aluminium or I could have bought Asarco,” Agarwal said in an interview with Bloomberg TV. Infinis Energy (INFI.L) – HY results in line with expectations. Revenues up by 10.5% to £107.1m. EBITDA before operating exceptional items up 21.2% to £63.9m. Refinancing and consolidation of wind project finance facilities of £254.8m was completed through a single £296m syndicated loan Closing Price 260.00p (Reuters)

RPC Group (RPC.L) – Profit in the first half fell marginally due to weakness in the European markets. “Continued weakness in continental markets and up-front costs related to future growth have offset benefits in other areas, Operating profit fell to £46.6m vs. £47m. Speedy Hire (SDY.L) –  Said its chief executive was standing down and that the finance director of its international unit had been suspended after it uncovered accounting irregularities. Closing Price 64.50p (Reuters)
