Barclays (BARC.L) – Barclays reported a 2012 pre-tax profit of £246mn in line with the average analyst forecast. They are set to axe at least 3,700 jobs and prune parts of its investment bank. Also plan to cut £1.7bn in annual costs and improve standards. The  job cuts will include 1,800 in corporate and investment banking and 1,900 in its European retail and business banking. Dragon Oil PLC (DGO.I) – Operating profit down 8% to $790.9mn. Final dividend of $0.15c per share for 2012. FY dividend $0.30c (2011: $0.20c) Closing Price 582.50p (Reuters)

Bumi PLC (BUMIP.L) – Q4 coal mined was 5.9mn tonnes and coal sales were 6.5mn tonnes, up 15% and 30% respectively. Full year production target for coal mined of 21mn tonnes was achieved. Closing Price 385.10p (Reuters)

Xstrata (XTA.L) – Copper production falls 16% compared to 2011. Coal production up 7% on 2011. Thermal coal production up 16% in South Africa and 7% in Australia. Nickel production at record levels. Meets expectations. Closing price 1160.5p. (Reuters)
