BHP Billiton (BLT.L) – Posted a 58% fall in half-year profit. Profit before one-off items tumbled to $5.68bn for July-Decr 2012 from $10bn a year earlier and took $3bn in write downs on its aluminium and nickel businesses. Chief executive Marius Kloppers is resigning after fall in half-year profit. Closing Price 2236.00p (Reuters)
