BP (BP.L) – Q3 earnings for the quarter of $3.7bn compared with a consensus forecast of $3.17bn. Closing Price 452.10p (Reuters)

Standard Chartered (STAN.L) – Operating profit so far this year grew at a low single-digit rate, with the Q3 weighed down by depreciation in emerging markets currencies and market volatility. “In the Q3 we delivered a resilient performance despite an uncertain macro environment,” group CEO Peter Sands.  Lloyds Banking Group (LLOY.L) – 2013 profit at £4.4bn up 136%. Q3 profit +7% to £1.52bn. Costs reduced by 7% to £7.1bn. Closing Price 79.62p (CNBC)
