Antofagasta (ANTO.L) – 31.2% drop in first-half core profit as lower prices and higher costs offset the impact of higher production. H1 EBITDA fell to $1.28bn vs. analyst forecast of $1.27bn. Interim dividend of 8.9 cents, up almost 5%. 8.4% rise in copper. Closing Price 915.00p (Reuters)

Petrofac (PFC.L) – 12.5% fall in revenue. Remains on track to meet its target of doubling 2010 earnings of $433m by 2015. Delays at the In Salah gas project in Algeria knocked forecasts earlier this year, with the firm altering its expectations for profit growth to modest from good. Closing Price 1265.00p (Reuters)
