Vodafone (VOD.L) – Verizon Communications Inc (VZ.N) has hired advisers to prepare a possible $100bn cash and stock bid to take full control of Verizon Wireless from joint venture partner Vodafone Group, two people familiar with the matter told Reuters on Wednesday. Closing Price 193.20p (Reuters)

Taylor Wimpey PLC (TW.L) – Sales at the upper end of firm’s expectations.  Average private net reservation rate of 0.67 sales per outlet per week for the year to date. Closing Price 94.05p (Reuters)

Ladbrokes (LAD.L) – Warned investors it expected annual operating profit to fall this year after a poor performance from horse racing and online gaming in the first quarter. Closing Price 192.00p (Reuters)
