Smiths Group PLC (SMIN.L) – Final dividend 27p per share. Total dividend 39.5p per share. FY revenue rose 2% to £3.11bn. FY operating profit £560mn. Cautious about sectors such as defence and healthcare which are subject to government funding constraints. Closing Price 1376.00p (Reuters)

Barclays Plc (BARC.L) – Rights issue shares start trading today resulting in a dilution in value of the ordinary shares. Closing Price 299.00p. (Reuters).

Ferrexpo (FXPO.L) – Acquisition of stake in ferrous resources. Acquired a 14.4% strategic stake in Ferrous Resources. Total consideration, which was acquired between January and September 2013, was approximately $80m. Closing Price 128.60p (Reuters)

Salamander Energy (SMDR.L) – Spud of an exploration well in block g4/50, Gulf of Thailand targeting the ayutthaya prospect. Well will be drilled to 2,350 metres total vertical depth sub-sea using the atwood mako jack up rig. Closing Price 183.70p (Reuters)

Redrow (RDW.L) – FY pretax profit rose 63% to £70m. FY revenue rose 26% to £604.8m. Final dividend 1p p/sh. Gross margins rose to 18.8% from 17.3% at June 2012. Value of private reservations up 42% from £472m to £668m. Significant increase in output is anticipated during the current year. Closing Price 230.80p (Reuters)
