Dixons Retail (DXNS.L) – 7% rise in Q4 underlying sales. Underlying profit before tax expected to be at the top end of analysts’ forecast range of £75-85m. Q4 l-for-l sales rose 13% in the UK and Ireland and were up 14% in northern Europe. But they fell 5% in the southern Europe division. Closing Price 36.51p (Reuters)

National Grid (NG.L) – Says year profit before tax rises 6% to £2.74bn . Full year dividend up 4% to 40.85p. Says expects to deliver another year of good operating performance and dividend growth. Aims to grow dividend at least in line with the rate of rpi inflation each year. Closing Price 844.50p (Reuters)

Travis Perkins (TPK.L) – Group revenue 1.2% lower than year ago. L-for-l sales were 1.8% lower. Management expects that full year earnings per share should be broadly in line with market expectations * Sales recovering in April and early may as activity has picked up. Closing Price 1483.00p (Reuters)

Aviva (AV..L) – Reports new business up 18%. Debt reduced by £300m. Operating expenses 10% lower. On track to deliver cost savings of £400m. Closing Price 323.10p (Reuters)
