ICAP (IAP.L) – Reported a slight rise in revenues in its first quarter, after trading of bonds and futures jumped on the prospect of a slowdown in U.S. money printing. ICAP said its businesses group revenue rose 2% versus a year.  earlier. The company did not give an exact figure for revenues. Closing Price 400p (Reuters)

Burberry (BRBY.L) – Maintained its full-year guidance as it posted an 18% rise in first quarter underlying retail revenue, driven by robust demand for spring/summer fashion. It made £339M of retail revenue in the three months to June 30 compared with analysts’ average forecast of £316M, and £280M in the same period last year. Comparable store sales growth was 13%, ahead of a fourth quarter increase of 8% Closing price 1440p (Reuters)

Barratt Developments (BDEV.L) – Sales rate up 17.9% in the second half on the prior year. Total completions, including joint ventures, of 13,663 for the full year. Average selling price p by c. 9% in the second half on the prior year to c. £221k. Forward sales up 53.6% to £829.7m as at 30 June 2013. Momentum is continuing to build, confident we can improve our performance still further. Closing Price 342.90p (Reuters)

Gulf Keystone Petroleum (GKP.L) – Commenced its development drilling programme with the spudding of shaikan-10. Production operations from the newly commissioned Shaikan production facility to commence shortly. Closing Price 159.50p (Reuters)

Barclays (BARC.L) Lloyds (LLOY.L) Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS.L) HSBC (HSBA.L) Standard Chartered (STAN.L) –  Moody’s upgrades the UK Banking sector to “Stable” from “Negative”. Closing Prices 302.35, 66.35p, 304.40p, 725.40p, 1513.00p respectively (Moody’s)
